Introducing Acorn Teams
At Acorn Journals, we believe journaling is most powerful when it is both personal and supported. That is why we are excited to introduce Acorn Teams, a new way for organizations to bring journaling to their members in a secure and meaningful way.
With Acorn Teams, admins can easily invite and manage members, view simple usage insights, and encourage regular writing across the group. Each member has their own private journal space that is completely separate from the admin. Admins cannot read journal entries. Privacy remains at the centre of everything Acorn builds.
When someone leaves a team or is removed, their journal stays with them. Their entries, mood history, and writing streaks remain intact so they can continue journaling on their own without losing a single post. Acorn is built to support lifelong reflection even as people move between teams or roles.
A Look Inside the Team Dashboard
The new Teams dashboard gives admins a clear and friendly overview of how their group is engaging with journaling.
At the top, you will see Quick Actions that let you start a new journal entry or invite members instantly. Key stats appear in the main view, including Total Members, Total Journals, Activity Rate, and Journal Rate per member. These numbers help admins understand how active the team is without ever exposing private content.
Below that, the Journal Creation Trend shows how many journal entries were created over the last thirty days. This simple visual helps teams celebrate consistency and track how writing habits grow over time.
The Team Members section lists each person’s role, number of journal entries, last login date, and when they joined the team. It is an easy way for admins to see participation and engagement at a glance while still respecting full privacy.
Everything is designed to be intuitive, calm, and distraction free so teams can focus on reflection rather than data overload.
Why Create a Team
For Employers
Companies that care about employee well-being can now offer Acorn Journals as part of their wellness programs. An employer can create a team, invite staff to join, and encourage regular journaling as a way to reflect, recharge, and grow. Employees who enjoy the experience can upgrade to Acorn Premium, and their subscription fee can be reimbursed by the company if it is covered under wellness benefits.
It is a simple way for organizations to promote mindfulness, support emotional balance, and strengthen workplace culture while keeping privacy completely protected.
Built for Connection and Privacy
We understand that privacy is essential when it comes to personal writing. Acorn Teams was built with that principle in mind. Admins can view high-level participation data, such as how many members are journaling regularly, but they cannot access or review anyone’s private entries. Every person’s writing is encrypted and remains entirely their own.
The Teams feature is available in all Acorn accounts, both free and premium, because everyone deserves access to mindful journaling in a supportive environment. Whether you are leading a company, a department, or a small team, Teams makes it easy to share the benefits of journaling while keeping each person’s reflections completely private.
